It’s time for Operation Christmas Child 2018! Everyone is encouraged to help meet our goal of 125 boxes. All shoeboxes are due at the church for dedication and delivery on Sunday, November 11th

PURPOSE

"What goes into the box is fun.....what comes out is eternal. Every gift-filled shoebox is a powerful tool for evangelism and discipleship -- transforming the lives of children and their families around the world through the Good News of Jesus Christ!" -OCC

HOW TO PACK A SHOEBOX

1. FIND A SHOEBOX

Pick up a GO shoebox from the fellowship hall after church or the church office.

2. GIRL OR BOY?

Decide whether you will pack a box for a girl or a boy, and the age category: 2–4, 5–9, or 10–14.

3. Fill with Gifts

Select a medium to large “wow” item such as a soccer ball with pump or stuffed animal, then fill with other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. See OCC's gift suggestions.

4. PRAY

Most importantly, pray for the child who will receive your gift. You can also include a personal note and photo.

5. Follow Your Box Labels

Donate $9 online and receive a tracking label to Follow Your Box and discover the destination of your shoebox gift.

6. DROP OFF

Bring your shoebox to the church or the church office. All shoeboxes are due at the church for dedication and delivery on Sunday, November 11th.

GO BOXES

The Mission Committee will distribute Gospel Opportunity boxes that need no wrapping. GO boxes will be available in the Fellowship Hall after church and in the church office.

PROCESSING CENTER

On Saturday, December 1st or 8th (date TBD), we will take a group to the Orange County Processing Center to help prepare shoeboxes for shipment to countries around the world. Participants must be at least 13 years old. This is your chance to have an absolutely inspiring experience you won’t want to miss!  Sign up on the church bulletin board today!

SHOEBOX SHOPPERS

The Shoebox Shoppers team will be available for those who want to participate, but cannot go to a store to shop for items to fill a shoebox. To use this service, donate $30 (noted OCC) to the church for each box you wish to fill. If you have a preference, include the OCC label designating the age group and gender of the child you wish to receive each shoebox. Of your donation, $21 will provide the contents and $9 will go to OCC for shipping expenses. All OCC donations are tax deductible!

IMPORTANT TO NOTE

Please refer to the OCC pamphlet, available with your shoebox and the OCC flyer in the church bulletin, to be aware of items NOT to include in your shoebox. OCC is very strict about these items. Candy; toothpaste; used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives, or military figures; candy or food; seeds; fruit rolls or other fruit snacks; drink mixes (powdered or liquid); liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans. (Due to new customs regulations, no toothpaste or candy of any kind is allowed this year.)

Can this go in my shoebox?

Let’s reach (or surpass) our goal to give Jesus and a smile to at least 125 children!
